If you don’t take Emma’s class at The Player’s Conservatory, you’ll be missing out! She’s skilled at what she does, and isgreat at passing on her knowledge in a way that’s understandable and fun, which is not something that every teacher can do. Most importantly, she finds ways to use class exercises to help foster a sense of community within the class, so much so that we have a group chat and a class hashtag. One of the best decisions I have ever made was signing up for the 6 week writing course At The Players Conservatory with Emma Heatherington. Emma is such an amazing teacher. She gives you the confidence to believe in yourself and just write. Her 6 week course was amazing. She covers every aspect of writing from how to start writing to getting published. You are never alone throughout the process. She has an ease about her that helps you open up to the ideas in your head and put them on paper. Starting with a simple poem then a short story and on to a full novel. As someone who had never written a single personal piece I came away from this class with a full short story, several poems and I am now well on my way to writing a novel. I was so excited when I saw that you were offering a creative writing class. My undergraduate degree is in creative writing and literature. I recall going on job interviews and my response to where I saw myself in 5 years always included being a published author. That was over 20 years ago. I've been writing for most of my life, something I needed to do to feel sane. I've always lived by the mantra of learning something new each day, looking for ways to improve myself and my craft. When I heard about the Creative Writing course with Emma Heatherington through The Players Conservatory, I knew I had to take it.
